What is conveyancing?

Put simply, it’s the legal process of transferring the ownership of a property from one person, or party, to another. The conveyancing process may sound straightforward, however, there can be complications, and our extensive experience is invaluable in overcoming blockages in the proceedings.

The conveyancing process starts when an offer on a property has been made and accepted. At that point, you instruct us to act on your behalf as your conveyancing solicitor, and carry out the legal and administrative work associated with the transfer of ownership for you.

If you are selling a property, the conveyancing process is slightly simpler, but for residential moves, you will usually be involved in the process both as buyer and vendor.
